Ebenezer Homes

Every child has a right to a healthy and happy environment so that he or she can grow into a wholesome person.  Ebenezer Children’s Home is a haven of rest for destitute and abused children who had lost hope  in life.  We rejoice to see the transformation a happy environment brings to a child.

Ebenezer homes were founded on the 17th of March, 2001, in Livingstone, Zambia.  At first it started as a feeding program for street kids and shortly after that it grew into an orpahnage.  At present we have three homes with over 29 children, who can now live a normal life as any child should.

Although these kids were displaced in life due to various traumatic experiences, they are now taught the right way to live by caring house-mothers.  The Homes are set up as normal homes and provided with basic requirements, in a healthy and happy environment.  Hard work, studies and play constitutes a normal day.  Ebenezer is a Christian organization and the children are taught the principles of God’s Word and how to implement it in their daily lives.  We believe a good training in character is important for every child.

The vision of Ebenezer is to raise a generation of children who will grow up to be responsible citizens in this nation.  We believe our children will one day bring a positive influence in their work places, where justice and righteousness will prevail.  We believe this is possible even though our struggles are great, our challenges overwhelming, but it will be worth it all…!!!

Babies Home

The heart of Ebenezer, Ebenezer Baby Home is near completion and we hope to have about 30 babies, with 2 resident House-Mums and a  large work force of “Mums” working on shifts.  we also have an in-built play school for toddlers.  We believe that one day these Babies will grow up in the Fear of the Lord and change their world.  Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”  God’s answer to a lost world has always been a baby!

More exciting news…Our first baby has arrived! Malaika Mutendele, her name meaning “light and peace” in Swahili and “angel” in Bemba, could not wait for the opening of the Babies house.  She arrived to us in June 2010 at the age of only 2 months old after her mother passed away from AIDS.  The children rejoiced at the first baby of many to come!

Hebron Boys & Girls

We have 3 children’s homes on our property.  Currently we have 17 boys and 12 girls who live with us. The homes are filled with love and a multitude of daily activities.  The children are finding encouragement and restoration here while learning the character and ways of the Lord to help give them brighter futures.
